Inspection!

Sewer Line Inspection! If you are buying or selling a home…YOU SHOULD ALWAYS INSPECT THE SEWER LINE TO THE MAIN OR TO THE SEPTIC!! Best advise I can give to anyone. First of all, if you buying a home, you don’t want to invest in a sewer line. It could cost thousands and also cause damage to your home. A simple camera of the line will let you see if there is root intrusion, a belly in the line or if the line is pitched correctly. A septic tank depending on its age and the material it is made from could be failing along with the leach fields attached to it. Again a simple inspection will tell you if the tank if made from concrete (which is very good and usually doesn’t cause problems) or another material, such as metal, plastic or block, that could be deteriating. A new poly tank replacement could also cost you thousands.

On the other hand, if you are selling a home, how nice is it to show your new buyer that you have an inspection report showing the age and condition and material that the sewer line or line and septic tank are and assure them that they will not have any immediate problems with the sewer system. If there are any problems, we can repair and advise the new buyer that the repairs were done and than they will not hold any of your money in escrow. It’s good advise for either end of the sale.
